How It Works   
 
1.      Locate Website Donation Link
  To make an online donation or payment, a donor first locates the link or button that you have labeled with, "Donate Now", "Give Online" or other appropriate wording. Ideally, this link will be placed prominently on the website of your Lutheran church, school or institution. Clicking on this link will send donors to the secure payment pages hosted by Vanco Services.
 
2.      Enter the Payment
  On the secure web payment pages, which will be customized by Vanco to look like your website, the individual donor simply enters the payment information and then submits the donation.
 
3.      Confirm
  After a donation or payment has been submitted, a printer-friendly confirmation page appears. Vanco can also send an email confirmation if a donor provides a valid email address.
 
4.      Process
  Once a donation has been submitted, the funds are directed to your bank account per normal direct debit or credit card processing timelines.
 
5.      View Report
  Website donations appear on your Vanco deposit report confirming the total amount to be deposited into your account.

Can we accept credit and debit cards via our website?
Yes. The type of payment that you can accept on your website depends on which payment processing solutions your organization utilizes. For example, you can accept card payments if you are already using the Simply Giving® Credit Card Option or you can also accept payments directly from checking and savings accounts if you are using the e.service® Thrivent Financial EFT service.
 
Is it expensive to get started?
Our service is very affordable compared to what a web design company would charge or the time and resources it would take to create web payment pages within your organization. We do not charge a setup fee for basic web payment pages.
 
Can we list various funds on the web payment pages?
Absolutely! You can easily add any fund name to the web payment pages. Just tell us the name of the fund and we will list it on the web payment page for you.
 
What type of one-time, fixed-dollar transactions can we accept?
In addition to one-time gifts for specific funds, website payments can also be used for summer camps, workshops, classes, concerts or just about any other community event or service.
 
Do my donors get receipts?
A confirmation page appears after a payment is submitted. An individual donor can print the confirmation page for proof of his or her donation. Vanco can also send an email confirmation if a donor provides a valid email address.
 
Can the Website Payment solution be used for both one-time and recurring transactions?
Yes. In addition to accepting one-time gifts and payments, you can offer a variety of recurring donation and payment frequencies.
